Bestie Inc. is looking for an individual in Toronto with a combination of the following skills and interests:

• Passion for consumer products, including, but not limited to the following categories: fashion, home & office, kids & babies, and tech & gadgets
• Good eye for consumer trends
• Experience working in a startup environment
• Strong attention to detail

This individual must be comfortable in a small company environment and be able to work independently. Prior experience in a consumer oriented/eCommerce startup is preferred. We are seeking an individual who can work from our office in Toronto (North York) on a full time basis. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Curation of products that we feature on Bestie from a list of approved merchants
• Expand the list of online merchants featured on Bestie
• Uploading and categorization of products through our proprietary web application
• Manage the validity of data in the existing product inventory
• Assist with social awareness and marketing campaigns (including writing amusing product description)
• Advise on overall product strategy and direction

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

• At least 1-2 years of experience working at a consumer oriented/eCommerce company (startup preferred)
• Knowledge of contemporary product trends and merchants
• Passion for product design
• Experience with online marketing using social platforms and blogs
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Excellent MS Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Enthusiasm and ambition
