When you bring a new baby into the world, that kid is completely pure and innocent. The child only understands what happens in his or her household. But as they grow older, they start to learn things from their friends and the media. That’s when you might have to do things a little differently in your home.
One parent went to Reddit to get a little parenting help. The mother just wanted to ask one simple question: “At what age did you stop being naked in front of your kids?” She goes into detail explaining her current situation saying that her family is very “open.”

Although she wasn’t comfortable walking around in her birthday suit when she was younger, she has no problem doing it now. She says that she has no problem changing in front of her son because she wants him to “know what a real woman looks like.” Adding that she doesn’t want him to believe that the ladies he sees on TV is what all woman should look like.
She later edits the post to clarify that she doesn’t go out of the way to change in front of her son, but more that she doesn’t try to hide it when he is in the room. ‘It’s important that he knows all women look different and not to make anyone he’s with in the future feel bad/uncomfortable/weird about their appearance,’ she writes. Parents started to chime in sharing their responses to the question.

The top response to the question comes from Reddit user de dementia who answered with, ‘When the child asks for privacy when they change.’ The second top answer was similar, saying that they will not change in front of their son if it makes them uncomfortable.
Although there doesn’t appear to be a right or wrong answer, most of the responses agree that it is based on the family’s comfort level. If the family is okay with the idea of changing in front of each other then that’s up to them.

At the end of the day, it’s really up to what you and your children are comfortable with. Some people believe it’s also important to practice being discreet since not everyone will be comfortable seeing a person walking around in their birthday suit.
