Anna Faris and Chris Pratt split up after more than eight years together. As reported by E Online!, the couple announced on their social media that they would no longer be together. It was on August 6 on Anna Faris’ Instagram page when she posted a picture with some text that signified the end of the couple’s relationship. Recently, Anna Faris released a book where she talks about her marriage as well as the time Jennifer Lawrence apologized to her.
Chris Pratt also posted a Facebook update on their split, writing: ‘Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have a love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.’
As reported by Cosmopolitan, it was back in 2007 when a 28-year-old Chris Pratt met a 30-year-old Anna Faris on the set of Take Me Home Tonight. (It was in that same Cosmopolitan article where they revealed that Chris proposed to Anna in the trailer for that movie set.) In an interview with People, Chris said: I knew I wanted to marry her pretty soon [after I met her.] It took a while for me to admit it because it would be crazy to be like, ‘I want to marry you the first day I met her. But I could have!’
It was on Tuesday when Anna’s new book finally arrived on the bookshelves. Her book, Anna Faris is Unqualified: Love and Relationship Advice from a Celebrity Who Just Wants to Help covers a wide range of topics including her marriage to Chris Pratt. The book’s foreword is actually written by her ex-husband before their divorce was finalized. Anna, who stars in the CBS sitcom Mom, and has appeared in almost 40 movies, covers a large range of topics in her first book. She goes over plastic surgery, her ‘crazy masturbation phase’ and also her feelings of jealousy when her then-husband, Chris Pratt, plays a love interest to some beautiful co-stars.
InstagramDuring an interview with The New York Times, she spoke about publishing her book just months after announcing her separation. ‘At first, I was really nervous about the idea of the book coming out and coinciding with these major life changes we were having, but Chris is amazing.’ In the interview, she admitted that she made some minor revisions after the couple’s split but left the bulk of the work almost untouched. But in the book, she mentioned how she felt insecure and ‘jealous’ about Chris and Jennifer Lawrence playing opposite one another in the movie Passengers.

Buzzfeed reported: ‘even before they met in person, my publicist, out of the blue, pulled me aside and said, “Anna, listen, there are going to be paparazzi all over them,” she said. “There are going to be shots of them laughing together on their way to set. There are going to be stories circulating, and you have to brace yourself for this.” I didn’t think it would bother me. I’ve been in this business a while now and I had seen Chris stars alongside other beautiful women, like Aubrey Plaza and Bryce Dallas Howard.’
In the book, Anna revealed: ‘Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn’t need to be because she hadn’t done anything wrong. She’s awesome, but of course, it’s hurtful and also embarrassing when people are saying your husband is cheating on you, even if it’s patently untrue. You still feel, and look, like a fool.’
