After watching that, Loren immediately went to his closet to grab a blanket he inherited from his grandmother. It looked exactly like the one from the episode.

That blanket had been sitting in his closet for seven years. Loren thought the blanket could be worth $5,000-$10,000. But when he brought it to a few antique dealers, they told him it was just an average blanket.

After Jeff tested the blanket, they found out that it was one of the rarest Navajo blankets in the entire world. The blanket was set to be auctioned off in six months.

Loren was told that the blanket could be worth up to $200,000. But he was getting cold feet about the auction. He nearly decided to break his deal with Moran and take a guaranteed check.

Moran was determined to convince Loren to keep their deal intact. So Moran gave Loren a $9,000 advance. Loren decided to take the advance and sell with Moran. In a 77-second auction, the blanket opened with a price of $150,000. It sold for $1.5 million and Loren went home with $1.3 million.

After a few weeks, Loren received calls from distant relatives asking for a piece of the money. His own sister even threatened to sue him but to no avail.

Loren used the money to invest, buy two homes, a new car and a motorcycle and married his girlfriend Lisa. Going from living on $200 a month to becoming a millionaire by luck shows that miracles can happen.
