Heartbreak After Panthers’ Employee And Young Mother Of Two Killed Her Three And Seven Year Old Children Then Jumped Off A Bridge

Tragedy struck a family from North Carolina when Christina Elizabeth Treadway, a 34-year-old mother of two, killed her children aged three and seven before taking her own life by jumping off a bridge. Treadway, who was a Carolina Panthers’ gameday ticket taker, inflicted fatal injuries onto her daughter, Iliyah Miller, and son, Isaiah Miller, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

The Charlotte Observer reported that the two children were pronounced dead at the Carolinas Medical Centre. The mother then jumped from the bridge on Interstate 485 in Charlotte on the same day.

Although the motive is still unknown, the grandfather of the children told local TV station FOX 46 WJZY that his son, Antoine Moore, who had been in a relationship with Treadway for about 10 years, was out with friends 6 months ago when he received a text from Treadway saying that she loved him and she was sorry and that she was going to “end it all.”

Moore has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help raise money to cover his children’s funeral expenses. On the GoFundMe page, he wrote, “My children’s mother decided to end her life. And end my two beautiful kids’ lives. I am beyond hurt and sad.”

He also added, “You never know what a person is going through mentally. My kids were my everything I truly don’t know how my life will go on.” Of his son, Moore’s father says, “He has never ever been abusive, his kids love him, he’s a great father, a great son and I love him dearly […] Right now, I don’t know how he’s holding up. We’re a basket case and he’s holding us together.”

He also said, “I just feel bad they won’t be able to grow up and be the good people they are supposed to be. I told my son, ‘You’re going to have to live their life for them and we’re not going to forget them.’”

The grandmother of the children considered Treadway to be a “great mom.” She said, “I love Tina to death, but she was just troubled. I don’t know what happened because she came and stayed at my house for the summer. I don’t know what happen, she just lost it.”
