K-Pop Star's Dark Suicide Note Posted Online As His Final Wish

It was earlier this week when Kim Jong-hyun took his own life. Kim Jong-hyun was the lead singer of the K-Pop group, SHINee, which received the moniker ‘princes ok K-Pop’ from all their fans around the world. He was just 27 years old when he killed himself. Now, a close friend of his has decided to reveal his last note to the world if he were to ever ‘disappear.’

It was on December 18 when police received a call from Kim’s older sister saying that she thought her brother was going to commit suicide.

She told officials that she received several messages from Kim that resembled a final goodbye.

When police and first responders reached the scene, Kim had already tried to end his own life. The Gangnam Police released a statement that day.

Nine9 said that she was well aware of his struggles and even notified Kim’s parents and family for his own well but she ‘only ended up postponing time and could not block his last action.’ Although the final note was written in Korean, some dedicated fans have translated the entire note into English.

The final excerpt of his note read: ‘It’s commendable that I was able to withstand up to this point. What more can I say? Just tell me I worked hard. That I did a good job. That I went through a lot. Even if you can’t smile, please don’t send me off in blame. You worked hard. You really went through a lot. Goodbye.’
