Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, once considered the Hollywood anomaly among other failed celebrity marriages, are reportedly headed for divorce. The news of a potential split comes as a shock to fans who saw the couple as rock-solid, an image they’ve reinforced during every interview and red carpet event.

The couple has been married for 11 years and shares two daughters together; Sunday, 9, and Faith, 7. Known for their relentless PDA, the two have always been extremely supportive of each other’s careers and focused on maintaining a close relationship throughout.
But In Touch Weekly is reporting that things aren’t so happy after all. Sources are now saying the two decided to seek emergency couple’s counseling as a last-ditch effort to save their marriage. ‘Nicole and Keith went for an emergency stay. It was an extremely emotional and testing few days,’ a source told In Touch Weekly exclusively. According to the mag, the two attended a private counseling retreat to mend the relationship.
However, In Touch Weekly is reporting the relationship boot camp didn’t go as well as hoped. According to the insider, the issues the couple attempted to work through were Keith’s addiction problem (the country singer checked into rehab just four months after they tied the knot) and Nicole’s ‘incessant jealousy and need to control Keith on every level.’

The couple’s counseling was reportedly their final attempt to patch things up. ‘It was Keith’s idea to visit the boot camp,’ says the insider. ‘He gave her an ultimatum.’
‘They have been putting a Band-Aid over their problems for too long. While they have smiles plastered on their faces in public, in private, things have been falling apart,’ revealed the source. Although the details from ‘sources’ can sometimes be over-exaggerated or skewed, there usually seems to end up being a little truth in the Hollywood rumor mill.
