The President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his wife, Melania Trump, celebrated New Year’s at their private residence known as the Mar-a-Lago resort. The resort, also known as the Winter White House, was the venue for the President’s New Year’s Eve party. While the POTUS and his son, Barron, both wore matching tuxedos and bow ties, it was the First Lady who stole the show.
Melania showed up in a sequined Erdem midi dress.
While prices for the dress have varied throughout the day, some reports indicate that it is worth about $5,000.
Melania stole the spotlight by rocking an embroidered mid length dress from the British label known as Erdem.
The dress, which promptly sold out on Erdem’s website after Melania sported the dress, was a combination of flowers and intricate embroidery.
The pink Emery dress is part of the Pre-Fall 2017 collection and is filled with paillettes from the neck all the way down to the mid-calf.
The design, as well as the flow of the dress, are meant to imitate the 40’s era type of style. However, Melania put a spin on the dress by removing the periwinkle colored belt that came with the dress.
Because of this simple yet elegant maneuver, Melania was able to embrace an 80’s style as opposed to the 40’s.
The First Lady completed her look by wearing a pair of pink pointed toe stilettos along with her sparkling diamond ring.
And designers from all around the world have noticed the affinity to which the First Lady has with dramatic sleeves. Melania wore a dress with a dramatic sleeve during the viral video of her watching the ballerinas and once again when she had to give a speech to the United Nations.
And it was in 2017 during a speech in India when Ivanka Trump was seen wearing a midi dress that was a part of Erdem’s Fall 2017 collection.
