Georgia Woman Caught On Camera Assaulting A Pregnant Black Soldier

Judy Tucker, a 72-year-old Georgia woman was arrested after harassing and assaulting a pregnant black soldier at a Macon restaurant. The entire encounter was captured on video and posted to YouTube by a witness named LaKeycia Ward. Tucker was accompanied by her adult son and daughter, who also joined in on harassing the woman, who was at the restaurant with another soldier, also a black woman.

The Daily Dot acquired a sheriff’s report of the incident, which indicated that the altercation between the two soldiers and the Georgia woman began in the parking lot. The soldiers, identified as Stephanie Mitchell and Treasure Sharpe, were apparently backing into a spot, when a car driven by Tucker’s son, drove around them. Tucker’s son allegedly yelled obscenities at the women and told them to “learn how to park.” According to Stephen Phipps, the arresting deputy, Judy Tucker later told him the altercation began because it was “a race issue” about her being white.

Inside the restaurant, Mitchell and Sharpe, who is pregnant, were approached by Tucker’s son. He reportedly referred to them as “black lesbian [expletives].” Mitchell told him that he should refrain from name-calling. This was when Judy Tucker approached the women and accused them of getting in their way while they were trying to park. It was at this point that LaKeycia Ward and Sharpe both started filming the situation.

In the video footage, Judy Tucker, the 72-year-old Georgia woman, can be heard telling Sharpe, “Don’t you take a picture of me. You do not have the right to take a picture of me.” She can then be seen reaching for Sharpe’s phone. Mitchell got in between Tucker and Sharpe, but Tucker’s son walked around, grabbed Sharpe’s arm and attempted to take her phone. The situation only continued to escalate, as the 72-year-old Georgia woman began swinging her fists, striking Sharpe once in the face.

Sharpe told Tucker and her son that she was pregnant during the altercation. However, Tucker’s son only replied, “Oh really, by her?” While pointing at Mitchell. Once the arresting deputy arrived, Judy Tucker admitted to him that she had hit Sharpe in the face, but that it was because “they hurt her hand” during the altercation. According to statements given to the deputy by Mitchell and Sharpe, it was at this point that Tucker’s daughter also appeared and began “lunging at them multiple times.”

Despite the 72-year-old Georgia woman claiming to the deputy that she had been wronged, according to the Deputy’s report, “it was never shown that…[Mitchell or Sharpe] did anything wrong.” Judy Tucker was arrested and charged with small battery charges. She was released from Bibb County Jail on a $650 bond. The video taken by LaKeycia Ward has been viewed over 800,000 times on Youtube. In addition, the restaurant at which the altercation took place, Cheddar’s, issued a statement to WMAZ, an NBC affiliate, saying “We were appalled by the behavior of the individuals who confronted the two female service members. Such behavior flies in the face of our values and those individuals are no longer welcome in our restaurant.”

In addition to being caught on video mistreating and attacking military service members, Judy Tucker has also experienced backlash on her business’s Facebook page. The page titled “Tucker’s Judy Complete Art Restoration” has been inundated with comments and negative reviews from people who were appalled by Tucker’s behavior in the video. “So sad for you and yours. You WILL have to meet your maker some day and God have mercy on your soul,” one commenter wrote. “This is not about giving you attention Judy, this right now is about praising and thanking those beautiful women for their service and sacrifices to protect even your family,” read another comment. A statement from the United States Army Reserve Command’s media relations stated: “This incident is the subject of an ongoing police investigation and it is improper for us to comment on the outcome. We will continue to review the information related to this case as it becomes available.”
