Priscilla Bailey was shopping at a Savers store (which is a second-hand store) when she spotted a blue ornament for 2 dollars and 99 cents. The mother of one from Massachusetts remarked on how the ornament glowed and sparkled whenever it caught the light.

During an interview with WFXT, Priscilla said: ‘Right now it’s hanging up there when I do my dishes. I sometimes stare at it. Right up here on the top, right across the top, it looks like angels or Vikings. They look like little angels, and there’s all this work down here. It’s really beautiful.’

But as reported by The Boston Globe, it was Priscilla’s daughter, Kat, who noticed that the blue ornament wasn’t just a beautiful trinket, it was, in fact, an urn.

When the mother and daughter took a flashlight to inspect the inner contents of the pendant they realized that there were spots hidden inside. Priscilla said: ‘It’s small. The two spots in it are small, the size of a golf ball. At first, I got spooked, for a second. But then, it’s been in the house all this time — a couple of weeks now — and it needs to find its owner!’

The pair are now hoping to use social media in order to locate the owner of this urn. The Savers store where Priscilla was shopping during Christmas time accepts donations from individuals who live locally so they hope that someone can give them some clues as to who the owner is.

But for the time being, the urn hangs in Priscilla’s kitchen where she glances at it every so often. Her daughter, Kat Bartlett, told CBS Boston: ‘It’s beautiful. It must have a story, so that’s my goal — to find out where and who this belongs to.’

As for Priscilla, who said that she hasn’t opened the urn in fear that she’ll spill the ashes. She told CBS: ‘There it sits — my spooky little friend. It’ll be fun seeing what happens and hopefully, someone comes forward and says yes that was my grandmother or grandfather. I just thought it was pretty, so maybe it was meant to come here. Who knows?’
