Kimberly Jones arrived at her son’s school to pick up him during lunch hour because her son Keaton was too afraid to go to lunch. In the video described as Keaton Bullied, Keaton describes his bullying actions in detail, calling him ugly, making fun of his nose, and explaining to his mother that he has no friends. The bullies took milk from the cafeteria and poured it over him, and took ham meat from the lunch and stuffed it down his clothes.

Keaton’s response to the bully was actually quite philosophical. Keaton went on to say in the video “just out of curiosity why do they bully? What’s the point? Do they find joy in taking innocent people and find a way to be mean to them? It’s not okay” Keaton also went on to say that “people that are different don’t need to be criticized. It’s not their fault. If you are made fun of, just don’t let it bother you.” and “It’ll get better someday.” A GoFundMe page was started in Keaton’s honour after the video received well over 18 million views. The fund in Keaton’s honour has raised more than $29,000 dollars.

The Tennessee Titans’ Delanie Walker invited Keaton to an upcoming game, and several teammates vowed to visit Keaton at school. Country music star Kelsea Ballerini said that she wants to bear witness to Keaton’s bullies apologizing to him. Dale Earnhardt Jr, Snoop Dogg, and other celebrities have all told Keaton he has a friend for life. Chris Evans even pulled a very Captain America move and invited Keaton to the Avengers: Infinity War premiere.

This is all, however, possibly up in the air, as Keaton’s family is currently receiving a great deal of controversy online after a photo recently surfaced of Keaton’s Mother holding up a Confederate Flag. Kimberly Jones, however, states that this photo was meant to be ironic. She is no way endorses racism and is upset that the photo is being used against her son.

To say that the internet “never forgets” is an understatement. Bullying is never tolerated, but Kimberly Jones is currently under heat for a photo of her posing next to a confederate flag. This comes just after her son went instantly viral for his video confessing his grievances with his bullies. Kimberly has gone on record to say that the picture was meant to be a comical and rhetorical critique of people who live this sort of lifestyle.

Kimberly wishes that her son Keaton’s story is not taken as a back burner to this photo that has circulated. Keaton’s life is about to get a whole lot better as celebrity endorsements continue to pour in.

Kimberly wants everyone to know that her intentions with the video were not to gain fame or fortune but to raise awareness about the serious issues of bullying in schools around the world. Kimberly told reporters that “Bullying is a serious thing that goes on in our society. People criticize other people for the way they look and act; it’s not their fault.” To watch Keaton’s video, check out the link below.
