Meghan Markle’s T.V. Fiance Had Hands Down The Funniest Reaction To Her Engagement

Unless you’ve been living under a massive rock or lost all touch with society, you probably know that Prince Harry is engaged to actress Meghan Markle. I mean, c’mon it’s all over the news. If you don’t know who Markle is, she’s best known for her role on the hit show Suits.

On the show, she plays Rachel Zane. Rachel Zane is engaged to Patrick J. Adam’s character Mike Ross. Suits have done amazingly, currently airing its 7th season. That means that both Markle and Adams have to spend quite a bit of time together.

So because they have spent so much time together both off and on-screen, you’d think that the actor would send a sweet message to his co-star on her engagement to Prince Harry right? Something like “I’m so happy for you” or “congratulations.”

But nope. Not Patrick J. Adams. He DID send out a tweet responding to the recent engagement news, but it wasn’t your typical congrats message. No. He went with something a little more…entertaining.

Representatives of Kensington Palace tweeted out, “The Prince of Wales has announced the engagement of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle.”

To which Adams replied, “She said she was just going out to get some milk…”. Poor guy, it must be hard when you think your T.V. wife runs to the store and never comes back!

I mean you think she’s just out grabbing some milk, maybe a bag of chips that you never asked for, but she figured she’d surprise you.

Then, BAM, you’re on your phone, reading tweets and find out she’s actually engaged…to a Prince that lives on the other side of the world. This tweet was so hilarious that people just had to respond to it!

Eric Hubs tweeted, “NOPE. The only guy meant for Meghan Markle is Mike Ross from Suits and that’s it. I don’t understand this “engagement” news.” People are clearly all about the “Suits” talk.

Tom Sleeman decided to respond, tweeting, “I think it’s fair to say that tweet is going down rather well.” Whereas another person tweeted, “Prince Harry tasted the seasoned food and was like I knew there was more to life than this monarchy.”

But after a couple of laughs, Adams did share a more genuine, sweet message. He did go to Twitter to reach out to the couple, wishing them nothing but a long and happy life together. He even directed a message to Prince Harry about his co-star. So sweet.
