Chip and Joanna Gaines are the celebrity couple from the HGTV show, Fixer Upper. The couple is known for their abilities to take rundown homes and transform them into beautiful art pieces. The pair will celebrate their 15th anniversary this year and have recently announced the arrival of a fifth child!
Their show first aired in 2013 and after more than five seasons they decided to call it quits.
The duo decided to end their show back in September which prompted many fans to think that Joanna was pregnant once again.
But during an interview with People, she said: ‘we gave everything we had to this show — the beautiful homes and those sweet families — but this just felt like the right time to catch our breath for a bit.’

She went on: ‘we really want to focus on this break and take a step back to let this all soak in. Regardless of what the future holds, we are hopeful for what God has for us and our family in this next season.’
InstagramIt was earlier this year when rumors swirled that the couple was dealing with some marriage issues. During an interview with Today, Joanna said: ‘I don’t do great with seeing that kind of stuff, reading into it, I just don’t know what’s going on.’

Joanna continued: ‘so then I’ll hear someone come up to me and say, ‘I hear you and Chip are getting a divorce.’ I’m like, ‘Where did you hear that?’ You know, I don’t know any of this!’

Despite the numerous rumors, the couple insists that their marriage and their family come first.

Chip told People: ‘Jo and I both made a commitment pretty early on that the two of us are the most important variable. If we can figure out how to be right as a couple, then obviously we a have a better opportunity to be right for our kids.’
InstagramHe continued: ‘every now and then there are times when we notice we’re getting off track and have to regroup. But it’s like everything we care about, everything that’s important to us — we know it’s going to require work.’

But after the announcement of their fifth child on Chip’s Instagram, some fans are claiming that having a child to save a marriage simply isn’t effective.
