John Stamos Tweets Throwback Photo Of The Time He Met Miley Cyrus

John Stamos solidified his place in the pop culture zeitgeist of the 1990s with his role as Jesse Katsopolis on the hit ABC sitcom Full House. However, while his career has only continued to thrive over the decades, that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten his roots.

Unlike a lot of celebrities, who often disregard the early stages of their careers, John Stamos is all about the throwback. The 54-year-old actor often treats his fans to photographic gems from the post on social media, and one of his latest shows his early introduction to a current pop star.

Stamos has easily become one of television’s most recognizable faces. He was last seen reprising his role as Uncle Jesse in Netflix’s Fuller House, but that’s not the only dose of nostalgia the actor has been serving up.

Stamos took to Instagram to share with his 2.2 million followers the moment he met one of today’s biggest pop stars. “That one time I met @MileyCyrus,” the actor captioned the picture.

The throwback picture shows the Full House star with his seriously 90s sideburns as he meets the future Hannah Montana star, who’s being held by her father and gnawing on a VIP pass in all of her toddler glory.

The Instagram post managed to amass over 145,000 likes and 900 comments from fans excitedly expressing their thoughts on the sentimental snap. However, Stamos is no stranger to throwbacks on social media, his Instagram is littered with pictures from yesteryear.

John Stamos may have won over a whole new generation of fans with Grandfathered and his appearance in the second season of Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens, but the actor has made sure not to leave out those who have been following his career since the get-go.

Considering his career has spanned a successful 35 years, it should be no surprise that Stamos has quite the archive of memorable pictures that he’s graciously decided to share now.

Stamos uploaded behind-the-scenes Instagrams with his Full House alumni to commemorate the hit show’s 30th anniversary back in September, but he’s also treated fans to some snaps from his own personal collection.

John Stamos can be seen next on stage playing the iconic title character in a live-in-concert adaptation of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory this November at the Hollywood Bowl.
