Meghan Markle’s Mom Is Prepared To Become A Royal Mother-In-Law With Relaxed Weekend In LA Home Where Security Was Stepped Up After Engagement Announcement

Any mother would probably be ecstatic if their daughter was about to become a real-life princess. It sounds like something that can only happen in our dreams, but it’s pure reality for Meghan Markle’s mother. It was recently announced that her daughter is engaged to Prince Harry.

But Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, isn’t about being in the spotlight or making a big deal out of her daughter’s engagement. In fact, throughout her daughter’s acting career, Markle’s mother has liked to keep herself out of the spotlight. She lives a pretty normal life.

In fact, she’s known about her daughter’s engagement for ‘several weeks’, according to Daily Mail. But when the news broke out to the entire world, Ragland prepared for the announcement in a pretty low-key way. Daily Mail was there to take a few photographs.

Markle’s mother is a yoga instructor and was seen outside her green-painted home in Los Angeles’ Windsor Hills neighborhood, dressed down as she watered her plants.

This was during the weekend. On Monday morning, however, Daily Mail reports that security could be seen outside of Ragland’s home.

The guard told broadcasters that he was unable to answer any of their questions, including local television and the BBC. But the mother-of-one and her ex-husband, Thomas Markle, have already released an official statement via Kensington Palace.

She said she was ‘incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry’, according to Daily Mail. She continued, saying ‘Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for both parents.’

Later in the morning, a friend of Doria, Roslyn, arrived at her home to take the dog out for a walk, but she too declined to comment on how Meghan’s mother is doing. She also refused to give her name.

The only thing that Doria’s friend commented on was that she was going to get some groceries for her later that afternoon. Since the engagement news broke out, the 61-year-old’s home has become a media focus.

Roslyn did speak exclusively to Daily Mail about her feelings about the engagement, saying “I’m really happy for them and I hope they’ll be happy together and have a great life…”

News of the engagement was announced by Clarence House earlier this week, with Prince Charles saying he was ‘delighted’ to reveal that Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, will be married next year. We can’t wait for what is sure to be a beautiful wedding!
