Serena Williams got married to Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, in New Orleans in November. The marriage ceremony was filled with such A-list superstars that including the likes of Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Kanye West. The pair first started dating in 2015 and then announced their engagement the next year in December of 2016.
Since then, the power couple has already had a daughter and Serena has plans of returning back to the tennis court next year to defend her title.
However, Serena had to reach out for help on her social media after she struggled with helping her daughter cope with her teething.
On Sunday, Serena shared a picture of her 3-month-old daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, on her Instagram.
Alexis, who was wearing a Versace baby bib at the time, was dealing with some teething pains. The gold medalist wrote: ‘teething- aka the devil – is so hard. Poor Alexis Olympia has been so uncomfortable. She cried so much (she never cries) I had to hold her until she fell asleep.’
The tennis superstar continued: ‘I’ve tried amber beads… cold towels…. chew on mommy’s fingers…. homeopathic water (lol on that one) but nothing is working. It’s breaking my heart.’
And it seems like Alexis isn’t the only one who needs a helping hand since Serena also wrote: ‘I almost need my mom to come and hold me to sleep cause I’m so stressed. Help? Anyone??’
And fans quickly came to her rescue by offering solutions such as chewing on frozen fruit or Orajel, which is a teething gel for babies.
And this isn’t the first time that Serena has used her massive social media following to get advice.
A few months back, she went on Twitter to find out when it was time to stop breastfeeding. She tweeted: ‘fellow moms: How long did you breastfeed? Is it weird that I get emotional when I even just think about when it’s time to stop?’
And many fans such as Broadway star Audra McDonald rushed to help her. She wrote: ‘I nursed my older daughter until she was almost 2. Still going with my 1 year old right now. You’ll know when it’s time to stop. Enjoy! She is beautiful!’
