Jenna Dewan’s recent split from funnyman Channing Tatum after almost 8 years of marriage came as a shock to their fans. The couple announced their separation on April 3, and it looks like even Ellen is having a hard time adjusting to the fact that these two are no longer together!

After the slip-up, Ellen took a moment during her interview of the ‘World of Dance’ judges to apologize to Jenna Dewan. ‘I have to say before we go to break, I’m so sorry, I introduced you, and it was just such a habit. And I have to say, the way you and Channing are handling everything is beautiful for your daughter and the statements have been great. I apologize. I have known both of you for so long and I’m just so used to saying it,’ said Ellen.

Dewan took the apology graciously, responding, ‘I know. Thank you. And I mean honestly, thank you and everybody for all the love and the support. It’s truly so moving so thank you.’ Dewan finished with ‘It’s all love!’ while her fellow ‘World of Dance’ judge Jennifer Lopez held her hand protectively.

So far Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have been pretty tight-lipped about the divorce, only addressing the split when talking about their efforts to remain friends for their daughter, Everly.

Clearly, Dewan is standing by the statement the two of them shared on their Instagram accounts regarding the split.

‘There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision—just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible,’ the statement read.
