Rosie and Michelle’s history was not long, but it was certainly eventful. The ex-couple started dating in 2011 and were married in a private ceremony in June 2012. They broke up less than 2 years later in November 2014, and Rosie filed for divorce in February 2015.

Rosie cited an irretrievably broken relationship as the reason for the divorce. The divorce was finalized in March 2016. Seven months after they were married, Rosie and Michelle adopted their daughter, Dakota, who is now 4 years old. Rounds were the other adoptive mother of Dakota, but she lost custody of her in 2015.

Rosie posted a drawing done by the couple’s daughter on Friday. Dakota wrote about how much she loves her mother. Michelle’s mom posted a statement about her daughter’s death and those struggling with their mental health.

She states, “If anyone would like to give to the National Suicide Prevention it would also be greatly appreciated. There are so many out there in this world that has demons that they think suicide is the only way out.”

Michelle had previously attempted to commit suicide in 2015 with pills and wine but was saved when a friend had security kick down the door to her hotel room.

The divorce had impacted both women’s lives. Around the time when the couple split, Rosie left her spot on ‘The View’ and her reps put out a statement: “Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention […] This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. Our thoughts go out to Michelle’s loved ones during this difficult time.”
