A new TV series has just been released and it’s already very clear why it’s one of the most addictive shows on Netflix. The show is called The End Of The F***ing World, and when the show originally aired it received a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

This British dark comedy TV series stars actress Jessica Barden who previously acted in Penny Dreadful, and Alex Lawther, who acted in several roles including younger versions of characters in both The Imitation Game and Goodbye Christopher Robin. The plot is focused on two very troubled teenagers who deal with mental health issues and decide to run away together on a Bonnie-and-Clyde-Esque road trip together. Alex plays a psychopathic teenager who is planning to commit a murder after killing several animals, and Jessica plays a nymphomaniac who says and does whatever she wants.
The TV series has a very dark but comedic tone. Add a little dash of teenage melancholy, and you have a great recipe for a fresh, intriguing story. For those who aren’t familiar with Rotten Tomatoes, it’s a service that rates all of the critics’ ratings of a certain film or TV series, then based off of this score, they give it a “Rotten” or “Fresh” rating.
This series is critically acclaimed virtually across the board, and audiences would also have to agree. This series received a 100% fresh rating when it first aired, dropping only to 96% in the following days. It’s clear that by the time the pilot episode ends, that one very quickly will get addicted to this series.
