Girl Tries To Scam Tinder Date For A Free Fancy Dinner But He Turns The Tables On Her

Apps like Tinder have revolutionized modern dating for better and for worse. A simple swipe has made it much easier to meet local singles, but it also comes with its own set of downfalls. Most people download the app to find a partner, however, apparently, not everyone has the same intentions.

One guy found himself in an underwhelming Tinder date where his match seemed more interested in her meal than him himself. With no connection and no chance of a second date, he saw the red flags and decided to beat her at her own game.

“I signed up for Tinder, just to see what would happen,” Imgur user minilogo37 shared on the online community.  “A few hours later, I got ‘superliked,’ which is apparently better than being ‘liked.’ We talked for a few days, she seemed super cool. I suggested a date, and she insisted on it being dinner. Cool.”

It was definitely not love at first sight for this romantic hopeful who was less than impressed when his date showed up to the restaurant in sweatpants and barely even looked at him. Still, this guy didn’t consider it to be a deal breaker, continued on with the date, and tried desperately to get a conversation started. However, it quickly became clear to him that he was being used.

It’s one thing to show up to a date in sweatpants, but this girl made her motives clear when it came to her order. Clearly thinking he’d be footing the bill, the Tinder date opted for a pricey appetizer right off of the bat, ordered a $25 steak and $22 crab legs, and proceeded to drink four $9 glasses of wine.

If there was chemistry, this Tinder date’s expensive taste may have been overlooked, but she continued to only give him one worded answers. “I got the steak, and a few drinks myself. Right about the time our main course(s) arrived, I’d pretty much given up,” he wrote. “She talked more to the waiter.”

He excused himself to go to the washroom when he had a light bulb moment, realizing that he’d pay for their meals and he would never hear from her again. “I left the bathroom, headed out the door, got in my car, and drove home,” he wrote. “She messaged me a few times, called me an [expletive] about twelve times.”
