Nico Tortorella From ‘Younger’ Married His Partner In A Super-Beautiful Genderblending Ceremony

Finding someone you are compatible with takes some people years. In fact, some of us are even lucky enough to find it. It takes patience to find that special someone who is perfect for you. Well, actor Nico Tortorella from the hit show Younger has found his perfect match.

Nico and his partner Bethany Myers have been in a queer, polyamorous relationship for about 12 years. You can catch their adorable relationship on either of their Instagram accounts. Their relationship may not sound traditional, but it’s definitely love.

Nico identifies as pansexual, while Bethany identifies as gay. This past Saturday, the couple posted pictures of their courthouse wedding which was taken by photographer Victoria Matthews. Once you see the photos, you’ll notice how incredible they both looked.

I mean, if their wedding photo doesn’t scream incredible, beautiful, artsy, I don’t know what does. Everything from their white outfits, to the position they are standing in to their crowns looks beautiful.

Conde Nast’s LGBTQ-centered online publication made a piece for the couple where they wrote about their wedding. They also gave readers a look into their thought process behind the wedding.

As far as their outfits are concerned, Nico said, “The looks are everything we’ve ever dreamed of. Genderbending ensembles designed by our dear friend Andrew Morrison. Timeless androgynous paraphernalia mimicking romanesque sculpture that fluidly blends masculine and feminine”.

He continued, saying “…in this relationship, we both wear the pants and the dress. We put on our faces and machinery, finally topping each other off in crowns. Duh, we wore crowns. Not for the gag of it all, but because it feels like something we’ve done in the past…”.

As far as labels go, Bethany noted to the magazine, “if you had to label it, Nico and I are in a queer polyamorous relationship”. She also noted that the only reason they have labels is to allow people to understand, not necessarily to define who they are.

She continued, saying: “Most think we planned this and one day decided we would be multiple-love kind of people. We didn’t. It’s just the way our relationship developed over 12 years. We became polyamorous without ever really trying…”

Their special day was obviously perfect, but Nico had one thing about it that he wish he could change. He told the magazine, “in hindsight I wish we would have asked to use nonspecific gender titles, but so be it. This husband now had a wife, and his wife now had a husband. A bride became a wife and a groom becomes a husband, but what does a partner become?”

But based on their essay, it’s obvious their day was filled with an endless amount of love. Nico finished his write-up, saying “we’ve been lovers, we are lovers, twin flames and we will forever be. We both realize that even the ability to share this story is a privilege we have for a number of reasons…” Congratulations to the two of them!
