When you are training towards something really hard, dedicating your entire life to that one thing and then you lose? That’s a pretty crummy feeling. It’s especially crummy when the entire world is essentially watching you.
So you can only imagine how Tom Brady felt after his team lost at this year’s Super Bowl. Well, you don’t even have to imagine because his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, posted a photo on her social media of exactly how her husband felt after the loss.
The photo that she shared showed Brady looking clearly heartbroken after his team, the Patriots, lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. I mean you can totally understand why he was so upset, considering his team won the Super Bowl last year. Anyone would be upset!
Gisele captioned the photo, which is posted on Instagram, writing “Congratulations Eagles for winning the Super Bowl, what a game that was!”. Pretty sweet caption to write with such an upsetting photo.
The photo shows the loving wife hugging her visibly emotional quarterback husband. She also added in her caption some heartwarming words to the Patriots, which was also really sweet.
She wrote, “Congratulations Patriots for giving your best and to my love, we are incredibly proud of you because we are able to see every day all the commitment, sacrifice and hard work that you have devoted to become the best in what you do”.
Gisele ended her caption, writing “we love you!”. There’s nothing better than having the love and support of your family and friends, especially when you go through a devastating loss. We’re sure Tom will get over this in no time.
For all those who are Football fans, this past Sunday, Brady passed for a Super Bowl record of 505 yards in the 41-33 loss but lost in the fourth quarter with the Patriots. But Bundchen’s humble message to the Eagles wasn’t the only classy gesture she made.
According to Yahoo Sports columnist Dan Wetzel, she also congratulated a few Philadelphia players in person. Wetzel tweeted, “Gisele, walking a back hallway to leave the stadium, took time to personally congratulate every Eagles player she ran into”.
Wetzel also mentioned that the team seemed super star-struck. I mean, anyone would be pretty starstruck if a gorgeous, famous supermodel walked into the change room, congratulating you on a win. Gisele is a good sport for doing that.
It was reported that she consoled her two children with Brady, along with the quarterback’s son from a previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan after the game. She apparently told her husband “You have to let someone else win sometimes”.
