Healthy Way states that both gay men and straight women prefer men whose faces appear more masculine, although men don’t have much control over having these natural features that are sought after. What they do have control over, however, is how their facial hair is presented. A study by a group of researchers from the University of Queensland, Charles Sturt University and the University of New South Wales found that heterosexual females prefer stubble as opposed to long beards, or a clean shave.
