The world of social media has enabled new ways of courtship. From the palm of your hands on your mobile device, you can let your interest be known in a multitude of ways. For Demi Lovato, Instagram was the platform of choice when it came to thirst trapping the Man Of Steel himself, Henry Cavill.
The talented singer-songwriter had the internet buzzing as she attempted to capture Superman without even using Kryptonite. Kicking off her pursuit, she ‘followed’ Henry Cavill on Instagram to initiate the contact. Almost immediately after, she posted a revealing photo of herself in a lace leotard, captioned “Big news coming soon.”
The pursuit certainly did not end there. A mere few seconds following her post, she decided to ‘like’ two of his photos where he’s situated in a jujitsu studio, a mutual interest in the martial arts that the two celebrities share.
To her fortune, the social media activity wasn’t all one-sided. Henry Cavill decided to give Demi a follow back on Instagram. He then proceeded to like and comment on a photo of her where she’s wearing a blue belt, saying “This is awesome! Nice one Miss Lovato.” Following her bold pursuit, it was luckily met with mutual contact, as the DC star shamelessly reciprocated the effort. Naturally, this led to a flurry of reactions on the worldwide web.
Comments on Twitter such as “OMG DEMI KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT SHE IS DOING” (@imnocrybaby) and “Demi said f*** that, saw what she wanted and went for it. We should all be following her lead this year” (@prasejeebus) are among the reactions that fans voiced. Another user went on to say “Demi Lovato and Henry Cavill openly thirsting over each other on Instagram is too much to handle on a Tuesday morning” (@QuinnKeaney)
Demi’s most recent and notable relationship involved That 70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama, which ended after six years in a mutual split, as the two decided to be friends. For Henry Cavill, he has been involved with movie stuntwoman Lucy Cork since May 2017, so the sparks may have to be put on hold for now.
There’s no telling what can transpire from social media pursuits, but what’s certain is that a little bit of boldness and confidence can go a long way.
