Dublin Hotel Sends YouTuber Invoice For $6.5 Million For 'Publicity'Charleville Lodge Hotel

The feud between YouTuber Elle Darby and cafe and hotel owner Paul Stenson has already been circulating online. Darby had asked Stenson to stay at his hotel for free in exchange for “publicity.” Stenson posted the email he received, as well as his scathing response, which seemed to greatly upset Darby.

This week, after a video explaining the whole ordeal, came out, the cafe and hotel owner invoiced YouTuber Darby for over 5 million Euros ($6.5 million). The reason for this invoice? “Publicity.” There has not yet been a response from Darby in response to Stenson’s latest dig, but it is likely she will have something to say about it.

The entire situation between the two does seem to have put Darby in the spotlight. Her YouTube channel has been steadily gaining followers since Stenson posted his response. She seems to be taking the whole thing in stride since it seems to be doing well for her. Stenson’s response, however, illustrates the same kind of request Darby initially made.

The hotel owner invoiced Elle Darby for “The provision of features in 114 articles across 20 countries with a potential reach of 450 million people.”

Stenson has already invited some controversy after he banned vegans from his cafe. He has now banned bloggers as well, placing a jar of “tears of bloggers” on his counter.

Stenson originally posted Darby’s email on Facebook. He responded to it with a lengthy post, stating “It takes a lot of balls to send an email like that if not much self-respect and dignity.”

He continued, saying, “In future, I’d advise you to offer to pay your way like everyone else.” Darby released a video on her YouTube channel shortly after receiving Stenson’s reply.

Darby states in her video, “As a 22-year-old girl, who’s running her own business from her home, I don’t feel like I did anything wrong.”

Darby also tweeted about the whole experience she had dealing with Stenson, saying “I’m pretty proud of the way I dealt with an overwhelming, sudden rush of death threats, cancer wishes & being called every name under the sun.”

Both Darby and Stenson have received criticism online for their responses to each other, with people considering both of them to be acting somewhat childish.

However, Stenson has also taken the criticism in stride and has even produced new T-shirts to sell at the hotel commemorating how one hotel owner invoiced a YouTuber for publicity.
