Wendy Williams isn’t new to making controversial comments directed at celebrities and she really doesn’t mind stirring up trouble. This time, she had some pretty bold and offensive things to say about Kim Kardashian’s recent stream of sizzling photos that she’s been posting on Instagram. Now, are the pictures seductive? Yes, definitely.
But Wendy seemed to find a connection between the Instagram photos and how well Kim and Kanye’s marriage is going. Here’s what she said on her show, “Kim, it’s clear that Kanye has nothing for you except dribble and feeble conversation. It’s clear that Kanye doesn’t pay attention to you. It’s clear to me that you’re desperately trying to stay in the spotlight.”
She goes on to talk about how she feels that Kim shouldn’t feel the need to do racy photoshoots in order to stay relevant because she already earns enough. Never mind that Kim has always enjoyed flaunting her envy-inducing curves regardless of how much she earns. It’s unclear whether Wendy Williams has some sort of personal vendetta against the famous family because this isn’t the first time she’s insulted them.
In January, the talk show host delivered a low blow to Kylie Jenner when she mockingly stated that her alleged child (at the time) is going to look like the “old” Kylie. Whatever her problem seems to be with the Kardashian-Jenners, this new round of insults is a bit of a stretch. If you follow Kim on social media, you’ll quickly see that Kimye looks very happy.
Their daughter Chicago was just born and Kim posted a Snapchat video of her normally stoic husband playing and hanging out with the kids while she expressed how much she loves him. That doesn’t really scream marital problems.
Where in that video (for example) did Wendy get that Kanye has no feelings for Kim, or that he doesn’t pay enough attention to her? Kim works hard for the body that she has, so if she wants to post-fire pictures then it shouldn’t come at the cost of having to put up with irrelevant and assumptive rumours about her family.
Kim is proud of her body, and why shouldn’t she be? Either way, Wendy’s job is to stir up trouble and Kim will keep living her best life, but let’s not add fuel to a non-existent fire. Live and let live.
