Kidnapped Age 20 Girl Isn’t Raped And Killed Because Of 1 Thing Her Mom Taught Her

Jordan Dinsmore, a 20-year-old student at Midlands Tech in South Carolina, was arriving home after a shift at the restaurant where she worked when she was kidnapped at gunpoint. The three individuals kidnapped her and planned to rape her, however, the college student escaped from her situation using some advice given to her by her mother.

The kidnappers emerged from a nearby wooded area and immediately pointed a gun at Dinsmore. They told her to get back into her car with them, however, none of the kidnappers knew how to drive her Scion, which was a manual transmission. One of the assailants fled the scene, but the other two kidnappers told Dinsmore to drive, which ended up being the main reason that the college student escaped.

The remaining kidnappers forced Jordan Dinsmore to drive to an ATM. There, she withdrew $300 and handed it over. Dinsmore pleaded with her kidnappers to just take the money and her car. However, the kidnappers had other plans. They told Dinsmore to drive to another location. They told Dinsmore that she would be forced to have sex once they arrived.

The situation looked dire, but the 20-year-old college student escaped by virtue of advice she had been given by her mother, Beth Turner. Turner had been in a similar situation when she was in college, where a man had attempted to kidnap her. Turner had taught her daughter to fight back and never let them take her to a second location.

After leaving the drive-through ATM, Dinsmore left her seatbelt undone, hoping that her kidnappers would not notice the ringing safety alarm. As she continued to drive, she saw an opportunity. She allowed the car to drift into the intersection after intentionally missing a turn. She then flipped the car into neutral and rolled out of the driver’s side door.

The college student escaped by running down the street and screaming for help. “I just screamed: ‘Call 911! Call 911! Someone just kidnapped me and threatened to shoot me!’’ Dinsmore said. A woman who was driving by saw Dinsmore and immediately picked her up. She then contacted the police and told them what had happened.

The three kidnappers have been arrested and identified by local police. One of the kidnappers was 17 years old and will be charged as an adult. The other two were 15 and faced charges of robbery, kidnapping, and weapons possession. Police also believe the kidnappers may be responsible for several other crimes of a similar nature in the area.
