They say you can tell a lot about a person based on their relationship history.
Well, before Prince Harry found his princess in Suits star Meghan Markle, the prince had been linked to several other beautiful, talented, and successful women.
Some would argue we all have a “type” while others are adamant there’s no such thing. Here is a list of (almost) all the women Prince Harry has been linked to over the years and you can decide for yourself if the royal has one of his own.
1. Natalie Pinkham. After meeting at the Rugby World Cup in 1999, Prince Harry and TV presenter Natalie Pinkham were referred to as “drinking buddies” by friends as the two started frequenting London’s bars and clubs together back in 2003. Although they never officially dated, there was always a question mark over the exact nature of their relationship and at one point reports claimed that Harry was “infatuated” with the sports presenter. Even when tabloids released provocative pictures of the two getting touchy-feely in 2006, years after they had gone their separate ways, Natalie maintained that she was simply a friend.

2. Lauren Pope. Prince Harry met The Only Way Is Essex star, Lauren Pope, at the club Chinawhite in February of 2004. Pope shared with online publications that it was Harry who asked for her number after their accidental encounter; the model told News of the World: “I was dancing and accidentally elbowed him as he walked past. I was drunk and didn’t recognize him, so I apologized and carried on dancing. Then a mutual friend came over and said I’d knocked his friend and did I want to sit on his table. I said, ‘Who is it?’ and was told, ‘It’s Prince Harry'” Pope says the two ended up ‘chatting’ (many speculated the two were making out) the rest of the night and were in contact for a short time afterward.

Harry’s longest relationship, the prince met Zimbabwe-born student Chelsy Davy while she was a teenager at Cheltenham before getting together during Prince Harry’s gap year in Cape Town. The two were said to have fallen head-over-heels in love, with Davy even returning to the UK to study in Leeds and be closer to the young royal. Eventually, however, their careers forced them into a long distance on-and-off relationship that began in 2004 and continued intermittently until 2011. Harry even brought Chelsy as his date to William and Kate’s royal wedding but they split for good shortly after.
4. Catherine Ommanney. Before Harry and Chelsy were in an established relationship, interior designer and divorced mother of two Catherine Ommanney revealed details about her make-out session with Prince Harry in 2007. Catherine, who later joined The Real Housewives of D.C., shared she was 34 and the prince was 21 when the pair ended up kissing at a friend’s house on a night out. Catherine admitted the two exchanged texts for a few days afterward but nothing else came of it.
5. Natalie Imbruglia. Harry struck up a “close friendship” with singer Natalie Imbruglia during a break with his long-time girlfriend Chelsy Davy in 2009. The prince and the Australian star met through mutual friends and were rumored to have dated for a few months afterward. During their brief relationship, Harry attended Natalie’s birthday party dressed as an inconspicuous surgeon, and they were also spotted bowling and attending a Killers concert together.

6. Astrid Harbord. Prince Harry was also linked to Astrid Harbord in 2009 after they were spotted out together in London. A friend of Kate Middleton’s, Astrid was 27 when she was seen with Harry, then 24, laughing and joking at a nightclub in Kings Road before the pair were driven back to royal residence Clarence House.
Rex Features7. Caroline Flack. That same year, Harry also had a brief relationship with X Factor host Caroline Flack after being introduced by their mutual friend, Natalie Pinkham. However, the TV presenter wrote in her autobiography Storm In a C Cup, “Once the story got out, that was it. We had to stop seeing each other. I was no longer Caroline Flack, TV presenter, I was Caroline Flack, Prince Harry’s bit of rough.”

8. Camilla Romestrand.Harry briefly dated Norwegian lead singer Camilla Romestrand of the rock group Eddie the Gun towards the end of 2010. CBS reported that Camilla told friends she’d stayed at Clarence House and Harry had even served her breakfast in bed. The rumored fling only lasted a couple of months before Harry got back together with Chelsy Davy once again.

9. Florence Brudenell-Bruce. According to reports, when Harry and Chelsy split for good in 2011 he had a summer romance with actress and model Florence Brudenell-Bruce. The pair had actually known each other for years and spent time at her London home in Notting Hill. According to Daily Mail, the prince had secretly been seeing the lingerie model for weeks but went their separate ways when Harry headed to the US for helicopter training. Other publications such as the Mirror, however, reported that Florence told friends she’d broke it off because of his flirtatious ways.

10. Mollie King. The Saturdays pop singer Mollie King and the prince were spotted dancing together at Harry’s favorite bar Bunga Bunga. However, the rumor was that Harry cooled their potential romance after they were made public and, according to multiple publications, because Molly was too open about their time together. Mollie, 24, had tried to put the rumors to rest when she tweeted, ‘Guys, I’m getting a lot of tweets about Prince Harry but…I’m not dating him and we’re not in a relationship. We’re just friends’ which only fuelled more speculation about their relationship.

Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas had a two-year relationship from 2012 to 2014 after meeting through Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie in May of 2012. An aristocrat herself, Cressida is the granddaughter of Edward Curzon, 6th Earl Howe. The two were spotted together post Dark Knight Rises premiere drinks at Le Salon, they went on vacation together and Cressida accompanied Harry on one of his charity engagements (even though they arrived separately, they were spotted sitting together later on). The two were rumored to have split because Cressida couldn’t handle constantly being in the public eye, which she even spoke about in an interview with BBC Radio.

12. Ellie Goulding. Although the two never made it official, the pop singer and prince sparked romance rumors after they were spotted getting cozy at a polo match in early 2016. Ellie sang “Your Song” for William and Kate’s first dance at their wedding and sang again at Prince Harry’s Invictus Games in 2014. Prince Harry and Ellie are said to have been good acquaintances for years, but the relationship controversy started after the two were reportedly seen kissing, although no photo evidence exists.
